AVID Video Editor
We're currently seeking an AVID Video Editor who is looking for their next challenge. Can you tell stories with pictures and sound? Are you passionate about production? Does the idea of a broadcast-quality facility as a part of a world-class company surprise you? That's what we are, and our 20-member team is looking for candidates with imagination and a zeal for great production that want to be part of an environment with fun, out-going folks creating amazing work related to the outdoors.
We produce commercials and videos to support the Bass Pro Shops' brand, and work on projects like the number-one selling boats in the world, or creating quality videos for an enhanced web experience for people learning about our thousands of products. Can you bring sizzle to an edit through pacing, music and style? Can you clearly communicate objectives with moving pictures?
Since 1986 we have a rich history in production having delivered hundreds of broadcast TV shows and airing through various media from national cable to the Internet. We produce images about the outdoors and fun, and we have a team of people who make it fun along the way. We're expanding, and may have a place just for you.
Qualified candidates will have:
BA / BS or technical school experience related to production
Strong editing skills that demonstrate solid technical prowess, but also a creative approach to finishing a story and communicate objectives in an entertaining way.
Very strong skills in AVID software preferred, with experience with Unity or Isis a plus.
Strong graphics skills including a solid understanding of Adobe products like Photoshop and After Effects.
Excellent color grading skills and a strong knowledge of why and how it works including the software and hardware required.
A creative vision and great communications abilities to effectively share ideas and inspire team members, clients and target audiences.
A proactive, can-do attitude, with solid time and project management skills.
And a strong desire to grow with an understanding that education is the key to bettering oneself and bringing increasing value to the production team over time
