Under general supervision, but following existing policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, is responsible for the digital imaging and retention of the bank''s applicable
documents. Duties include preparing documents, scanning documents, indexing documents, ensuring quality control of images, and retaining hard documents as necessary. Responsible for providing timely and quality scanned images.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Knowledgeable of all policies, procedures, standards, and the various documents presented to the department. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.
2. Responsible for preparing documents for scanning. This includes removing staples, sorting various types of documents, and reviewing documents for necessary index values. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
3. Responsible for scanning documents. Is knowledgeable of the functionality of the hardware and software (including profiles and software tools required to prepare batches for indexing). Reviews quality of images scanned. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
4. Responsible for indexing documents. Is knowledgeable of the JHA imaging software as well as the applicable indexes and index values to be used for various documents. Reviews each digital document for those applicable index values. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
5. Responsible for quality control of images scanned. Retrieves and reviews the digital images from the JHA core system for quality and accuracy. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
6. Responsible for filing and retaining hard documents as necessary. Is knowledgeable of the filing and retention requirements of various documents (i.e. loan files, bulk files, shred or items to be sent back to the originating department). This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
7. All other special projects, reports and duties as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Education & Other Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
