AECI is a Touchstone EnergyCooperative.The Springfield Headquarters is currently seeking applicants for a combustion turbineengineer position within the Power Production Division.All levels of experience will beconsidered.Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical orelectrical engineering; preference will be given to those with combustion turbine operationsand/or maintenance experience. The successful candidate will possess broad knowledge ofelectrical, mechanical and metallurgical engineering concepts. This person will demonstratestrong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks and/or projects effectively tomeet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, organizational skills,and very strong interpersonal skills are essential.This engineer will provide technical support for all of AECI's combustion turbine plants aswell as internal Power Marketing and System Operations departments regarding combustionturbine operation and maintenance. A few primary duties include providing engineeringexpertise and support to plant and department personnel; developing scopes of work,preparing specifications, evaluating bids, scheduling work, administering contracts, providingproject oversight, reviewing and approving final reports to support outages, repairs andcapital projects; performing inspections and condition/performance assessments of plantcomponents; investigating equipment failures and analyzing root causes; managing majormaintenance and component repairs; and providing design work. Travel to AECI'scombustion turbine plants located throughout Missouri, northeast Oklahoma, and northeastArkansas is required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
