If you are seeking an opportunity in management this posiiton is for you.This position will be involved in the management of Engineers thatareinvolved in the Install, Upgrade, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Migration of Corporate Applications, examples include but are not limited to Vendor Management, and Sales Commission.The Software Engineer Manager will be managing a team thatis principally responsible for integration, operations and application administration of enterprise systems/applications including home-grown or vendor applications. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple projects at one time. Bachelor's degree required;
Minimum of 7 years technical experience in software development or related field.
Previous leadership experience required
Oversees the daily operation of one or more departments. Directs staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and programs. Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods and staffing. Adheres to both company policy and governmental regulations concerning department and direct employee activities. Manages departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting. Responsible for department budget. Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching and pay reviews.
Excellent knowledge of the software industry, software development lifecycle and programming standards.
Excellent speaking and writing abilities.
Microsoft and other programming/software engineering related certifications a plus and/or an active desire to pursue such certifications.
Able to oversee the analysis, design, development and maintenance of software solutions. Guides development efforts toward solving industry needs.
Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
Able to prioritize and plan work activities as needed.
Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects.
Able to coach and mentor employees, providing career and professional guidance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
