Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate and detailed processing of Caterpillar Remanufactured cores.
(Unloading, inspection, staging, and loading) Communicates effectively with customers, both internal, external, and TEPS dealers to resolve any core processing issues.
Notifies customers of partial or no credit core inspections.
Completes the core process by processing core returns, inspecting cores to determine value, and shipping cores to Caterpillar Reman Facility.
Records and tracks all warranty parts that are received through the parts and service departments.
Communicates with Caterpillar Representatives on all warranty parts that are sent back to Caterpillar for inspection.
Communication includes, but is not limited to, providing details, answering questions from Caterpillar Core Representatives, and providing photos.
Will operate a forklift within a confined area as well to load and unload cores.
Files all core reports and documents as needed.
Follows up on all Caterpillar Contamination Control guidelines and compliance.
Will be responsible for their own continuous development by staying updated on Caterpillar policies, Procedures, and core inspection criteria.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment doing tasks such as shipping, receiving, parts ordering, and parts picking.
Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training.
Forklift certification a plus.
Attention to detail.
stong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Special Physical Requirements:
In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities:
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outside elements and seasonal environmental factors.
Frequent stooping, bending and lifting occur.
The majority of time is spent standing or walking.
