Aftermarket Repair Engineer

An Aftermarket Repair Engineer job in Springfield, NJ is currently available through Belcan.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new repair processes to expand repair capabilities and drive growth at a leading aerospace manufacturing company.
To be considered for this role, you will have a technical degree in a related field of study, and at least five years of experience in prototyping and testing new products.

Repair Engineer Job duties:
Evaluate customer specifications, component maintenance manuals, FAA regulations and approved technical data.
Develop and substantiate DER approved repair specifications.
Recognize the need for new repairs that are not specified in current technical data.
Write and develop repair processes as required to support FAA DER, EASA or OEM approval.
Provide training for technicians and support the introduction of new repair processes into production.
Qualifications:
Two/four-year technical degree (Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance) and 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience developing repair specifications.
Communicate effectively across multi-functional teams, with customers, and the FAA.
Knowledge of basic structural design and analysis of mechanical components.
Understanding and experience with aircraft and their related systems Computer skills:
MS Office Suite; 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, AutoCAD).
Experience with Aircraft maintenance.
FAA A&P license strongly preferred.
