straight night shift differential Stay premium pay after 2 years of service6B is a telemetry unit that provides care for the acutely ill inpatient.
Our number one DRG is sepsis, and we care for patients with respiratory/covid, cardiac issues, renal disease, GI bleeds/complications, and strokes.
6B nurses are trained to monitor high flow oxygen devices such as bipap and airvo and are stroke certified among other advanced skills.
6B staff is engaged in the advancement of the profession of nursing.
We have several co-workers currently working through continuing education/obtaining different degrees.
We also have several 6B nurses who are advancing on Mercy's career ladder, SHINE.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing programLicensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical requirements/demands:
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Experience:
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
