Under general direction, the Systems Administrator is responsible forthe maintenance and security of the computing infrastructure, ensuring that capacity and reliability needsare met for the cooperative and that the cooperative is compliant with all regulatory requirements relatingto cyber security. They are responsible for monitoring and administering the corporate and EMS serverand storage systems for proper operation. Other duties include preventing, detecting, and mitigatingviruses and other malicious software on corporate and EMS servers, desktops, and portable devices. Thisposition will also be responsible for assisting with the administration of the AECI back-up control center.This position interfaces primarily with computer users across the cooperative, and as such requiresexcellent communication and customer service skills.Qualified applicants will have an advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems for both clientand servers, including Windows 7/8 and Server 2008/2012. Applicants will also need to have in-depthexperience Active Directory administration. Applicants with experience in Microsoft Exchange,CommVault, VMware vSphere, VMware SRM, SAN Administration, change management, patchmanagement/testing and Windows Clustering will receive preference. SharePoint 2010 administrationexperience is strongly desired. All applicants must have been employed in system administration andhave three years' experience in a medium sized or larger corporate environment. Education requirementsare at least a two year associate's degree in a computer related field, Microsoft certification in the aboveareas, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge in the above areas.
